After an All-Time great round of 16 leg with Barcelona and PSG, today’s games had a lot of hype to live up to. We have Leicester City trying to capitalize on an away goal from a 2-1 defeat in Sevilla. As for the champions of Italy Juventus are in prime position to knock off Portuguese giants Porto after a very successful away leg that saw them go up 2-0 after a red card.
Juventus vs. Porto:
What a relief it must be for a top club like Juve to score two away goals without conceding. The Old Lady returned home for the second leg against Porto with a ton of confidence after extending their Serie A win streak at home to thirty straight games. This one was pretty much over before it started, with a red card in the 40th minute saw Paulo Dybala convert a penalty to put Juventus up 3-0 on aggregate and Porto down a man. This was another impressive job by Juve not to only prevent Porto from scoring but managing to do so when a team is as desperate as they were. The Old Lady will advance yet again to the final 8 of the Champions League with the title in site. Something that seems more and more doable as each round passes by.

Leicester City vs. Sevilla:
After recording a 2-1 result in Sevilla, Leicester City had put themselves in a respectable position to advance to the final 8 in the widely popular competition. It only took 27 minutes for the boys in blue to pull level with the Spanish club. A nice finish by captain Wes Morgan leveled the aggregate between the two but ultimately put Leicester ahead on away goals. Then during the second half is when the game really started to get intense. Marc Albrighton had a terrific finish to put them ahead on goals as well! Fast forward to the 74th minute when Samir Nasri bumped heads with Jaime Vardy who might have sold it to the ref which warranted a Red Card for Nasri. Now down a man Sevilla won a penalty after a tackle by keeper Kasper Schemichel, but to no avail Sevilla couldn’t capitalize on the penalty it was taken to the right but hit very poorly that Schemichel didn’t have to do all that much. Even though the odds weren’t 5000-1 Leicester City has had an incredible run to the final 8 of the Champions League. Congratulations
