Napoli have had advanced talks for summer deals with Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessié and Lazio winger Keira Baldé Diao, according to a report by Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli on Wednesday.
The radio station said that the deals for both players are virtually done and will be ready to be completed for the next transfer window.
Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli also reported that Napoli players, striker Duvan Zapata and midfielder Alberto Grassi would be included in deals. Zapata currently plays for Udinese on a loan deal. Zapata would be sent to Lazio as a means to lower the cost for Keita.
Napoli would then include Grassi in the deal with Atalanta. The Partenopei acquired Grassi from Atalanta before sending him back to the La Dea on loan this season. Grassi could potentially go back on another loan deal in the Kessié deal.
Both Keita and Kessié are young players, which continues Napoli's youth movement. Keita is 22-years-old while Kessié is only 20 years of age.
Keita would add another attacking threat for Napoli, or replace one of the players that Napoli could potentially lose. The Lazio forward has scored eight goals this season and recorded two assists. Keita has strong dribbling abilities and can create opportunities from the left side of the field.
Kessié would add another talented midfield piece for Napoli. The Ivory Coast midfielder has tallied six goals on the season along with two assists. Kessié also has strong dribbling ability, and boasts a more physical presence. The player averages 1.2 tackles and interceptions and two fouls per match. He also has a pass success rate of just over 84 percent.
Other teams have kept these players on their radar for the upcoming transfer window. Therefore, Napoli should continue to work to make sure it can secure their services.
