Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli have both expressed interest in Anderlecht midfielder, Youri Tielemans, according to calciomercato.com.
The site reported that Juventus has been tracking Tielemans for a few seasons. Therefore, the Old Lady looks ready to submit an official offer in the summer transfer window, especially with Ilbianconero.com reporting that Juventus sporting director Fabio Paritici has the midfielder back in his sights.
The Serie A leaders would love to pair Tielemans with another summer target, Paris Saint Germaine's Marco Verratti. There are reports that Verratti could be leaving PSG for the Serie A in the next transfer period.
Calciomercato also reported that Napoli has kept its eye on the 19-year-old Belgian. Partenopei sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has thought about the potential combination of Tielemans and Amadou Diawara. Diawara joined Napoli this season from Bologna.
The teams would have to spend €25 million in order to bring Tielemans to Italy, according to the reports. The player is under contract with Anderlecht until 2021, but an offer with that amount could convince the Belgian team to sell.
The youngster has scored 16 goals in 38 total appearances in all competitions this season. Tielemans scored 12 of those in league play, and three came in the UEFA Europa League competition.
During the current international break, Tielemans has spent his time with the Belgian national team after receiving a call-up. Belgium faces off against Russia in a friendly on Tuesday. The midfielder is expected to start, there is also an expectation that Juventus scouts will be in the stands.
Napoli and Juventus will battle to see if one is able to bring over the Belgian's talent to their side in the summer.
