Inter Agrees to Deal for Roma's Manolas

Roma defender Kostas Manolas has agreed to move to Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Star.

The report came from The Daily Star on Milan based TV network TeleLombardia and it claims that the move will be worth nearly 37 million pounds.

The Greek center-back still has two years left on his current contract with Roma. However, rumors had increased about Manolas making a move before this report came out.

The reported deal also means that three Premier League teams will miss out on Manolas: Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Former Juventus manager and current Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been interested in the 25-year-old since his move to the Blues in the summer.

One of the factors in the deal is the fact that the Giallorossi are still under FIFA Financial Fair-Play restrictions. Therefore, the club will look to make the most from selling the player as teams continue to show interest.

Manolas would be a huge addition to Inter's current defense. The defender averages 2.3 interceptions and 6.1 clearances per match in the Serie A, according to whoscored.com. Manolas also wins 2.5 aerial duels per match and completes his passes at an 85.6 percent success rate.

Inter had been a team who's big signings has not worked out for it, but adding Manolas to the team would be guarantee a successful signing because of his consistency. The player can defend, pass the ball well out of the back and boasts a physical presence that would allow him to succeed with the Nerazzurri.
