Another week, another relegation zone club for Milan to face. This time Milan faces off against the highly dysfunctional Palermo on Sunday morning 9 AM eastern standard time.
Earlier this season the two clubs met up in early November with Milan becoming the victors of a score of two to one. A goal by Suso in the 15th minute gave Milan the early lead but late into the second half Palermo equalized 1-1. Then in the 80th minute Gianluca Lapadula came on for Carlos Bacca and it only took two minutes for the high-energy substitute to make an impact on the game by scoring the clincher for the Rossoneri and secure three points.
Player to Watch: Suso
Suso makes his highly anticipated return for the rossoneri this week, the Spaniard has been one of the teams best players all season long after finally taking over the right forward starting role. He has six goals on the season and it has been his breakthrough season for the club.
Prediction: Milan Win
If Milan want any chance at Europe this season, they need to win against this dysfunctional club. Too many times these past few seasons Milan have dropped points against inferior opponents. A three points would be huge coming into the Milano Derby on Easter weekend. The return of Suso should give Milan plenty of scoring opportunities and relieve some pressure off of Bacca. I predict a final score of 2-0 with goals from Suso in his return and Carlos Bacca.
