After being under the ownership of Silivio Berlusconi for over three decades, Milan enters its first transfer market without him and Adriano Galliani. And it appears evident that Marco Fassone and Massimo Mirabelli have been extremely aggressive this time around. Just this week Milan have signed Matteo Musacchio from Villareall for a fee of 18 million Euros. That is incredibly early considering the fact Milan never got deals done until August or July. Not only the singing for Musacchio there has already been the reported agreement for Atlanta midfielder Franck Kessie. That makes two huge voids that are going to be filled for the next ten years.
But how about the fact that Milan is looking to lose some off of the roster? Just this week Honda confirmed that he is leaving the club and is likely to move on from players like De Scigilio and Carlos Bacca adding even more money to the transfer market for players like Belotti, Morata, Aubmayeng, Ricardo Rodriguez, Milan Badlej, Keita Balde and even Lucas Biglia. Just for Milan to be linked to these names is one thing but even for the fact that they have almost realistically locked up two players bodes well for the future.
Speaking of the future it even bodes well for a Gianluigi Donnarumma extension that could possibly set the tone for not only a great transfer market but also a great season at that. With upgrades at every position of need a great Europa League run is certainly possible and if Juventus manage to win the Champions League there will be another spot for Serie A to secure for the tournament. We shall wait and see for all of the news to unfold but, buckle up Milanista’s and calcio fans this summer could potentially change the whole dimension of Serie A.
