morning Atalanta RB star Andrea Conti arrived in Milan to sign with the Rossoneri. Milan and Atalanta have been going back and forth for weeks now on a final fee for the player. They reached a figure of 24 million Euros and youth player Matteo Pessina.
Conti is joining a long list of players this summer to arrive at Milanello and the thirddefender to complete the renovation of the back-line. Ricardo Rodriguez, Mateo Musacchio and Romagnoli will now have one of the best offensive Right Backs in Europe last season to join them.
Andrea was involved in 13 goals last season with eight goals and five assists, that’s more than any player in the top five leagues in Europe. Milan has been yearning for years for their fullbacks to create something offensively after having to watch Ignazio Abate and Mattia De Sciglio botch crosses for years. This takes off a ton of pressure from the midfielders and makes it easier for the forwards to finish inside of the box.
Even if Montella wants to switch to a 3-5-2 Conti would be superb in, his work rate is top notch as well, not to even mention on how young he is. The fact that Conti might just be Milan’s 3rd or 4th best signing this summer alone and that says a lot about the direction of the club.
Milan keeps on dominating the summer and Marco Fassone has said that they aren’t done yet, still more to look forward to this summer for Calcio and Milan fans. Some sales will also be taking place soon as well, Juraj Kucka looks to be on the way out of Milan to Turkey. Other names like Paletta, Bacca and De Sciglio are other names that seems to be on the outs soon.
